Not only do you have to take on an incredibly powerful airborne enemy, there are continuous waves of Lost Legion soldiers and Vault Guardians attacking at (almost) all times. This is probably the most difficult boss battle in the game, especially when you're attempting it on a solo run. It's name, roughly translated, means "Demon-Jet."

Keep fighting your way through the complex in Solitudes Edge, then make your way up the stairs of the Legion's barracks to a large windowed hallway that curves off to your left. If you collected the E-Gun from the side mission Sub-Level 13, this is an excellent weapon to use during the final mission.
The Guardians are fast and can do a fair amount of damage, but they're actually quite weak against electric or corrosive weapons - lasers in particular. Once inside, start blasting your way towards the objective waypoint at the elevator room and you'll be introduced to a new enemy type: The Guardians of the Vault. To prevent this, make sure to fully deplete their health bars before they can regenerate.įight your way through the outer shantytown and across the small bridge, then destroy the turrets above the large doorway leading to Solitude's Edge. These "Eternal" soldiers will regenerate health and become more powerful "Ascendent" versions of themselves. ETERNAL / ASCENDANT MARINES: As you make your way closer to the Vault, you'll start encountering Lost Legion soldiers who have been affected by Vault radiation.
